The Pun Page is devoted to puns of all types, with highbrow humor, lowbrow humor, and the occasional "groaners". I started this page because I enjoy making puns and hearing others make puns, and I also wanted to hone my Web-publishing skills. I have learned a lot in the last year since this page began, and as a result, it has become faster, flashier, and (I hope) more interesting. I've changed my page layout several times, and am constantly tweaking it to make it work more smoothly and look better. I'm currently a law student at Widener University in Wilmington, Delaware and hope to have a happy and honest career. These noble goals notwithstanding, I also collect lawyer jokes and puns, so if you know of any, let me know.
The Pun Page itself has links to a few dozen other sites, all of which are checked regularly to make sure that they are still operational. I also update the Pun of the Day every other day (usually) but since I don't want to call it "The Pun of Almost Every Day", I've stuck with the short form. Try being in law school and doing this--you'll see what I mean. It's fairly involved to totally redo a page, but I seem to have been doing a lot of it lately. I always listen to suggestions on how to improve this page, and have used a lot of them.
I love feedback. Good feedback. Bad feedback. Even the occasional dumb comment. It's gratifying to know that other people visit and appreciate this page. I get a few puns a week, and I'm looking for more, so feel free to send me a pun any time. Also, if you know of any sites which would be appropriate links, please let me know by signing my guestbook.
So that's about it. My consulting business is mostly a hobby at the moment, since I don't have a lot of time to promote it. However, if you need to learn how to use your computer or have a question, please e-mail me and I'll let you know my hourly rates, and what I can do to answer your questions or solve your computer problems.
Thanks for stopping by.
Yours truly,
Josh Waterston, PunMaster

Why does The Pun Page
look strange on my computer
and what can I do about it?
If The Pun Page looks a little funny on your computer, chances are that you have an older browser which doesn't support some of the features included in the design of this site, including animated graphics, Java (necessary to see the Pun of the Day), frames, tables and borders. Two examples of older browsers with known incompatabilities are America Online v.2.5 or earlier, and Microsoft Internet Explorer 1.0 and 2.0.
Fortunately, there is a solution. If you want to see this page in all its (supposed) glory, download the latest versions of Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer by clicking on one of the buttons below (I use Netscape and it runs like a charm). If you use AOL, CompuServe, or another online service, check with them about getting an updated browser.
| I have two books to recommend: One is "Get Thee To A Punnery" by Richard Lederer, and the other is "The Complete Pun Book" by Art Moger (see right). Either book is a great source of puns and wordplay, and I occasionally borrow puns from each (with proper credit attributed). If you have any other books to recommend, let me know! |
